Standard hire is £15, although some more complex stands may cost a little more. 

Security deposits are also required, which will be returned in full when the stand is returned undamaged within 3 weeks of your event.

 

The hire fee does not include collection of the stand.

Collection can be arranged but would incur additional charges for time and costs.  
 

Many of the stands available are handmade, bespoke or vintage so are irreplaceable.

The value of the security deposit is dependant on the stand's estimated replacement value or the estimated value of a comparable item.

The hire cost and deposit required are listed below next to the photographs of the stand.

Standard knife hire is £5 plus a £20 security deposit, with the terms as per stand hire.

​

Both stand and knife hire is entirely optional.

​

If you want a specific stand, please let Kasserina know asap so it can be booked for you.

 

Minimum order values may apply, because of the added admin involved.

The booking system is based on a lending library model.

The number of stands available is limited, and availability is

dependant on clients returning stands on time and unbroken.

Please, please ensure you return your stand on time and undamaged.

​

If you are returning it via courier or by post, please ensure you insulate it well and place in a box strong enough to protect it if other things are piled on top... and don't forget to put a note in the box to say it's from you.

While I can strive to create some buffers and in some cases may be able to cross hire or buy replacements, many stands cannot be duplicated.  In the case that your preferred stand is not available I will try to provide a suitable alternative, but can offer no guarantees that it will be the same.

Important note:

Pedestal stands are inherently top heavy once they have a cake on them.  

The taller the stand, the less stable they will be if they experience sideways

movement or if pressure is put on one side.  

Extra care should be taken if cutting the cake on the stand

to make sure it cannot topple over.  If in doubt, please ask someone to

firmly hold the stand and cake board steady for you while you cut the cake.

Please return your stand on time.

Late returns may incur additional fees, which will be taken from the security deposit.

If the stand is not returned in time, and we have to buy a replacement, please do not expect change as the cost of the stand, P&P and the extra time involved will likely outstrip the value of the security deposit.
